Custom cases, crates and foam for medical equipment.
We design custom medical equipment cases, foam inserts and wood crates for manufacturers, demonstration teams and field users. Our custom medical device packaging holds equipment and accessories for shipping, storage and repeated use, from portable diagnostic devices to larger systems.

Packaging options
Choose packaging for the equipment and how it is used.
A portable device, a complete demonstration kit and a large imaging system need different packaging. We supply cases and foam nationwide, and wood crates throughout the eastern United States.

Injection molded cases
For portable diagnostic devices, monitors and demonstration kits, we help choose a case and design the interior. Brands include Pelican, SKB, NANUK and Condition 1. Order the case alone or with custom foam.

Custom foam inserts
Fitted pockets give equipment, cables and accessories their own places. We design and cut inserts for new cases, crates and boxes, or packaging you already own. Foam-only orders are available.

Wood crates
For larger imaging equipment, laboratory machines and bulky assemblies, we design the base, supports and enclosure around the load. Loading access and the method of unpacking help determine the crate design.

ATA cases
For equipment moving repeatedly between facilities or demonstrations, we build cases in custom sizes. Trays, shelves, removable covers and wheels can make equipment easier to access and move.

Support sensitive parts and keep the kit organized.
The interior needs to hold equipment at suitable contact points while leaving room to remove and replace it. We plan the layout around the complete equipment list and the order in which items are used.
Leave sensitive areas clear
We shape support around suitable surfaces and leave clearance for displays, controls, probes and connectors. The closed-case layout also needs space between equipment in the lid and base.
Plan access and component locations
Finger openings, separate accessory pockets, labels and straps can help users find items and return them to the same place. Tell us which parts are used together and which need to be reached first.
Choose the foam for the equipment
We offer polyethylene (PE), polyurethane (PU) and cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) in different densities and colors. All foam is cut using a CNC router or waterjet. The method is selected based on the foam type and pocket features. Anti-static foam options are available to meet any electrostatic discharge requirements. Share any material or cleaning requirements so we can review the proposed foam grade.

Larger medical equipment
Plan support, loading and unpacking.
Imaging systems and laboratory equipment may need more than a flat crate floor. The loaded weight, support points and available lifting equipment guide the design.
Support the load and provide access
Blocking and restraints can hold the equipment at suitable support points. Removable walls, ramps and forklift access can be included where useful. Tell us how the equipment will enter the crate and be removed at its destination.
Account for shipping and storage conditions
Waterproof barrier bagging and desiccant, which absorbs moisture, can be included for sensitive shipments. The approach depends on the journey and storage period; a wood crate alone is not a sealed moisture barrier.
Arrange crating at your facility
On-site crating can help when equipment is difficult to move. We review the location, working space, access and packing work before arranging a visit.

Design and ordering
Review the design before we build.
Design assistance and quotes are free, with no requirement to purchase. Our in-house team prepares the packaging layout and works through changes with you.
Provide the equipment details
Send dimensions, drawings, 3D models or photos, plus the equipment and accessory list, weight, quantity and required date. Tell us about the shipping method and any changes still expected to the equipment.
Review the layout and quote
We recommend the case, foam or crate design and provide views for your review. Check fit, access, materials and what is included in the quote. We help determine whether a physical prototype is needed.
Approve the design for production
After any required prototype review and your approval, we build the packaging and arrange delivery. We retain approved designs and production files for repeat orders.
Frequently asked questions
Medical equipment packaging questions
Practical details for design, repeat orders and delivery.
Yes. We can quote a foam-only or complete prototype for fit, access and packing checks. Physical prototypes are charged separately from the free design and quote. We confirm what will be made and its cost before building it.
Tell us about your project
Discuss your medical equipment packaging.
Tell us about the equipment, quantity, shipping or storage needs and required date. We will help choose the packaging and prepare a design and quote.
