Custom case construction
How your ATA case is built.
We build ATA cases to the size you need using panels, metal edging and hardware. This lets us make a case around your equipment instead of choosing from fixed molded-case sizes.
Panel construction
Choose wood or plastic panels. We recommend the thickness and finish based on the equipment weight and how the case will be used.
Edging, corners and hardware
Options include aluminum edging, ball corners and recessed hardware. We fit these around the panel joints and corners.

- Equipment and case dimensions
- Send dimensions for the equipment and accessories, plus current drawings. Include any limits on the outside size of the case, as well as the space needed inside.
- Loaded weight and support
- Include accessories in the total weight. Show where the equipment can be supported, where it is heaviest and which surfaces need extra care.
- Loading and access
- Tell us how the equipment goes into the case and whether you will use it while it is still inside. Include the space needed to lift it and any doorways the case must fit through.
- Transportation and storage
- Tell us which vehicles, floor surfaces and lifting equipment you use, and how the cases will be stored or stacked.
- Order and shipment requirements
- Give us the quantity, delivery date and current equipment version. Include any required specifications, tests or shipping restrictions.

ATA, road and flight case are common names for reusable cases made from panels, metal edging and hardware. The name alone does not mean a case has passed a test or will be accepted by an airline. We need to check the design against your equipment and shipping requirements.
