Sensing, imaging and monitoring
Custom cases, crates and foam for sensing and imaging equipment.
We design packaging for companies shipping industrial cameras, optical instruments, LiDAR and monitoring systems. Custom cases, foam inserts and crates support equipment and organize accessories for customer deliveries, field work and repeated rental returns.

Packaging options
From a portable sensor kit to a complete imaging system.
Choose packaging around the equipment's size, weight and how it travels. We supply cases and foam nationwide, and wood crates throughout the eastern United States.

Injection molded cases
For industrial cameras, sensors and portable monitoring kits, we help choose a case from Pelican, SKB, NANUK or Condition 1. Order the case alone or with an interior designed around your equipment.

Custom foam inserts
Fitted foam gives instruments and accessories their own place. We make inserts for new cases, crates and boxes, or packaging you already own. Foam-only orders are available.

Wood crates
Large imaging assemblies, monitoring stations and bulky instruments may need a custom base and enclosure. We design the crate around the load and how the equipment will be packed and unpacked.

ATA cases
For monitoring and imaging equipment moved repeatedly, we build cases in custom sizes. Shelves, trays and removable covers provide access, while handles and wheels help users move the loaded case.

Support the instrument without pressing on delicate parts.
Lenses, sensor heads and connector pins need clearance. We plan where the foam supports the equipment and how users will remove and replace each item.
Leave clearance where it is needed
Tell us which surfaces can carry weight and which must stay clear of the foam. We consider the instrument's weight, support points and exposed parts when designing the pockets and lid interior.
Make the kit easier to repack
Separate locations for cameras, cables, mounts and adapters help users see where items belong. Finger openings provide room to lift parts out. Removable foam plugs can fill pockets when optional equipment is not included.
Choose the foam material and grade
We offer polyethylene (PE), polyurethane (PU) and cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) in different densities and colors. We use CNC routing and waterjet cutting; PU is waterjet-only. For static-sensitive electronics, we review the proposed foam grade against your electrostatic-discharge requirements.

Large sensing and imaging systems
Plan the supports and loading access around the full assembly.
Large optical assemblies, radar equipment and monitoring systems can have uneven weight and exposed components. The crate design starts with the dimensions, loaded weight and suitable lifting and support points.
Hold the load and allow access
Blocking, bracing and restraints can secure equipment at suitable points. Removable walls, ramps and forklift access can be included where useful. We review how the system will be loaded and what equipment will be available to unpack it.
Review moisture protection
Waterproof barrier bagging and desiccant, which absorbs moisture, can be included for sensitive shipments. The equipment, shipping conditions and planned storage period help determine the packing approach.
Arrange crating at your facility
On-site crating can help when the equipment is difficult to move. We review your location, access, working space and packing needs before arranging the work.

Camera and LiDAR projects
Cases designed for customer deliveries and rental returns.

Industrial camera equipment
RDI Technologies' camera kit.
We designed the packaging for RDI Technologies' Iris M camera system around a Pelican 1450 case. A layered, waterjet-cut PU insert holds the camera equipment, mounting hardware and cables. Finger openings help users remove parts, while removable foam plugs fill pockets when some accessories are not included.

LiDAR rental equipment
A consistent place for each part of a rental kit.
A startup needed to ship its portable LiDAR and camera equipment to rental customers across the United States. We used a Pelican 1690 with a shaped foam cradle and separate accessory pockets. A locating notch guides the pink insert into position, and straps retain an accessory in the lid for repeated packing and return shipments.

Check the layout and packing method before production.
Our in-house design assistance and quotes are free, with no requirement to purchase. We can work from drawings, models, dimensions or photos.
Describe the complete kit
Provide the equipment and accessory list, dimensions, weight, quantity and required date. Tell us who will pack the equipment, how it travels and whether any parts are optional.
Review the design and quote
We propose the packaging and interior layout. Review the support areas, item locations and hand access with the people who will use the kit. We help determine whether a physical prototype would be useful.
Approve the design for production
After any required prototype review and your approval, we build the packaging and arrange delivery. We retain the approved design and production files for later orders.
Frequently asked questions
Sensing and imaging packaging questions
Practical details for equipment requirements, repeat orders and delivery.
Yes. Share the instrument manufacturer’s handling limits and any required checks or tests. We use those details to plan support and clearance around sensitive features. The equipment still needs any calibration checks required by its manufacturer.
Tell us about your project
Discuss your sensing and imaging equipment packaging.
Tell us about the equipment, accessories, quantity and required date. Include how the kit will be shipped, used and repacked so we can prepare the design and quote.
