When just-in-time delivery helps

Get packaging closer to when you need it.

Floor space is limited

Bulky packaging takes up space used for equipment and work. We can hold it at Vol Case for an agreed period so it arrives closer to when you need it.

Equipment is not ready

Your packaging may be finished before your equipment is ready to pack. We can agree how long to hold it based on your expected completion date.

You can only receive deliveries at certain times

Tell us your receiving hours, when a dock is available and any other limits on delivery times. We use those details to plan the delivery with you.

How it works

Plan what to store, for how long and when to deliver.

  1. Confirm the packaging

Tell us which packaging or previous project the order is for. We confirm what needs making and when it will be finished.

  2. Determine storage and delivery

We review the quantity, storage period, destination and requested dates. We then confirm the storage and delivery terms with you.

  3. Hold completed packaging

We store the agreed packaging at our facility. Tell us if your equipment completion date or receiving schedule changes.

  4. Arrange delivery

Before delivery, confirm that you are ready to receive the packaging. Give us the receiving contact and any access or unloading instructions.

Allow time for production

Allow time to make the packaging before scheduling its arrival.

Just-in-time (JIT) packaging delivery lets you plan when finished packaging arrives. We still need time to design, get approval and make it. Share your production dates early so we can allow time for each step.

  • New or revised packaging

Allow time to check equipment details, review the layout and approve the design before we start making it.

  • Repeat orders

Give us the approved design reference and quantity. We confirm when we can make the packaging before agreeing storage and delivery dates.
